LEEDS, N.D. (KFGO) – A man from Leeds has died following a rear-end crash with a semi truck.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened on U.S. Highway 2 approximately six miles east of Leeds on Monday morning.
The crash report says a 72-year-old man from Leeds was driving west on Highway 2. A semi loaded with corn turned onto westbound Highway 2 from Highway 281 and was accelerating when the pickup truck rear-ended the semi.
The driver of the pickup was taken to CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake where he died.
The driver of the semi, a 34-year-old man from Fessenden, was not hurt.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating possible charges against the semi truck driver.
