Walking into the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center can mean seeing your favorite music act, attending a wedding or cheering on the Minnesota State University, Mankato hockey team. But on Jan. 20-21, stepping into the arena means attending MN Ag Expo – the state’s marquee winter agriculture trade show.
With an expected audience of over 1,500, there’s something for everyone at MN Ag Expo. This year’s how has grown to showcase the latest and greatest farm equipment.
“We’re moving the bar even higher this year for MN Ag Expo, since we added the large equipment space to the show,” said Darin Johnson, president of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association. “I’m amazed at the growth we have every year with attendance, exhibitors and sponsors. We were excited to add the new space, and I can’t wait to visit with our industry colleagues.”
The show brings together a wide range of agriculture experts, industry professionals and legislative leaders. With the addition of the large equipment room, a first since MN Ag Expo has been at this location, there are more than 100 exhibitors from across agriculture to meet and learn from. In addition to the diverse agenda, the entire show – including meals and entry – is free, thanks to sponsors, event hosts MSGA and the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, and soy checkoff support.
Skate into the Minnesota Soybean booth #17 at MN Ag Expo to connect with farmer leaders and learn more about the impact of soybean checkoff investments.
Tour the fish house, or “warming house,” MSGA is raffling off tickets to win and raise additional funds for lobbying efforts. Tickets are $100 with a limit of 500 tickets sold. The winner doesn’t need to be present to win.
“With our booth in the hockey arena, we’re leaning into the idea of the ‘State of Soy’ in the ‘State of Hockey’ to show in interactive ways how the Council is using soybean checkoff funds,” MSR&PC Chair Gail Donkers said. “We’re involved in new uses like SoyFoam, building markets in Uzbekistan and sponsoring research, and we’re looking forward to telling that story to our farming audience.”
