FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Salvation Army announced $762,728 was raised during the Christmas Kettle Campaign, which is about 90% of their $850,000 goal.
On Monday, Salvation Army officials, board members and partners gathered to thank volunteers and community members for ringing bells and donating over the holiday season.
“It is a call to compassion, generosity and hope. Each ring represents a neighbor in need in our community and those that are willing to respond. This year’s Red Kettle Campaign once again demonstrated the remarkable generosity of the Fargo-Moorhead community,” said Gloria Palm Connor, Salvation Army Advisory Board Chair.
In a friendly competition between area realtors, firefighters and law enforcement, the realtors raised the most money at $31,325. The firefighters raised $13,582 and law enforcement raised $6,244.
