FARGO (KFGO) – Millions of Americans across the country attended ‘No Kings’ protests against the Trump Administration Saturday afternoon, protesters in Fargo say they’re fighting for democracy.
“I’m fighting for our rights as Americans. We have the right to freedom, we have the right to free speech, to assembly. What’s happening now is they’re silencing us, and trying to take over what we have.” One protestor said.
Thousands attended the protest in Fargo. Ten rallies took place in North Dakota, and dozens in Minnesota. This is the second nationwide ‘No Kings’ protest since June.
Organizers say the protests are about protecting First Amendments rights, health care, education and immigration. The national movement emphasizes that America does not believe in kings or dictators and the power belongs to the people.
