BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a South Dakota woman evaded their search efforts after fleeing a traffic stop Thursday.
A trooper tried to stop an SUV in Bismarck just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The driver fled, and the trooper did not pursue.
The vehicle crashed shortly after the stop was attempted. The driver ran from the scene. Police searched the area but were unable to locate 31-year-old Whitney Bagola from Rapid City. Police found drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun in her vehicle.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
