West Central Detention Center in Moorhead
DILWORTH, Minn. (KFGO) – A boy who made threats against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Schools has been taken into custody and is in the West Central Juvenile Center in Moorhead.
Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says the boy is cooperating with the investigation.
He was taken in on a charge of threats of violence following additional investigation. His name will not be released because of his age. Empting says he may release more information on Tuesday after speaking with the Clay County Attorney’s Office.
The investigation began over the weekend after a concerning message was shared with a small group of friends. School Superintendent Shannon Hunstad said the message was first reported to the school resource officer.
The sheriff’s office had earlier said that it determined that there was no credible threat to student or staff safety.
