FARGO (KFGO) – Multiple crews responded to a fire at a sunflower plant in north Fargo Thursday.
Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says firefighters were called to the 4000 block of 7th Avenue N. shortly before 8:30 a.m. on a report of black smoke. When crews arrived at Red River Commodities there was smoke and fire in a roaster and ductwork.
Additional crews responded. Firefighters had the fire contained and knocked down within 15 minutes and began ventilating smoke from the building.
No one was injured.
Erickson says the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate is not available.
