Imagine a scenario where a woman is held up in a house in Fargo. She isn’t from the United States, and is accused of dealing drugs out of that home. Rather than surround the home with law enforcement to make an arrest, imagine they simply blow up the house. They kill her and whoever and whatever else might be in that home. Would you be okay with that?
The politics of the act Donald Trump just committed are simple. First, by blowing up a boat with alleged drug dealers, he gets to say he’s tough on crime and show how serious he is on the war against drugs. Regardless of that fact that the individuals killed never had their right to due-process. They never faced a jury to make an argument for their innocence.
We also never had an opportunity to know who they were. We’ll never know if anyone on that boat was being held hostage. Maybe someone was forced on that boat against their will. Now we’ll never know.
Second, by getting the Nation so mesmerized by the video, they’re not watching the recent press conference of abused women on the steps of the Capitol demanding Jeffrey Epstein files be released. Every decent human knows they should be made public. And every human knows it’s Donald Trump that won’t allow it.
So, where do we go from here? Conservatives on the United States Supreme Court have made it legal for Trump to kill whoever and wherever he wants. We also know the majority of our Nation will applaud the killings.
The only question is, do they really care?
