FAIRMOUNT, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released the name of a Fairmount, North Dakota woman who was killed when the bicycle she was riding was hit by a car on Richland County Road 81 near Fairmount. She was 45-year-old Mariah Buck.
Buck was struck Tuesday afternoon and died at the scene.
The patrol says the car struck the rear of the bike. The driver of the car, 33-year-old Danielle Stein of Hankinson, suffered minor injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies, Fairmount volunteer firefighters, the Hankinson and Breckenridge Ambulance Services responded along with a medical helicopter from Alexandria, Minnesota.
The collision remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
