FARGO (KFGO) – Traffic on eastbound I-94 in Fargo was backed up for miles after a power line went down in the Red River Bridge construction zone Friday afternoon.
Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says the patrol was forced to put a detour in place, rerouting westbound I-94 traffic to exit 351 to 52nd Avenue South. He says the patrol had to wait for Xcel Energy crews to arrive and remove the power line from the interstate.
Traffic was detoured for nearly an hour. Traffic was backed to beyond the I-94/I-29 Tri Level.
Westbound traffic was not affected.
