Motorcyclist with ‘WILL RUN’ fake plate leads Minnesota deputies on chase

WATKINS, Minn. – A high-speed motorcycle chase through Meeker County ended with a dramatic arrest Sunday.

Just after 6:30 p.m., The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a motorcyclist flying through Watkins at speeds topping 100 miles per hour.

When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the motorcyclist took off, leading deputies on a two-mile pursuit. The chase ended when the rider pulled into a residence and tried to flee on foot.

Deputies arrested 37-year-old Ronald Bednar of Watkins, who now faces multiple charges. Authorities say Bednar had failed to register the motorcycle and was using fake license plates. The plate read, “Will Run.”
