VATICAN CITY (KFGO-KVRR) — Diocese of Fargo Bishop John Folda met with Pope Leo XIV for the first time Wednesday.
Diocese spokesman Paul Braun says Folda is leading a group of young adults on a pilgrimage to Vatican City, where the group also had a chance to see the pope.
The group left Fargo May 21 and returned May 29.
Pope Leo, The first American pope, was elected on May 8, following the death of Pope Francis.
