WASHINGTON – Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum is among those calling for the resignation of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The St. Paul Democrat calls Hegseth incompetent, and says his actions are jeopardizing national security.
Congressman Don Bacon of Nebraska is the first Republican to suggest President Trump should fire Hegseth. The latest criticism of Hegseth comes after reports of another improper Signal group chat where he shared classified information about military operations with unauthorized personnel, including family.
The White House denies that it is looking to replace the Forest Lake, Minnesota native.
