Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (D-Minn.)
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – Once considered a candidate for the office himself, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has endorsed Lieutenant governor Peggy Flanagan for US Senate.
Senator Tina Smith, a Democrat, recently announced that she will not run for another six-year term next year.
Ellison says congress needs leaders in Washington who have the guts to stand up and fight and Flanagan has never backed down from a fight.
Ellison spent 12 years in Congress before he was elected attorney general.
