DICKINSON, N.D. (KFGO) – Dickinson State University announced the list of five finalists from across the country to be its next president.
The candidates include Dr. Carmen Simone of Dakota College at Bottineau, North Dakota, Dr. Jeff D. Borden of Gonzaga University, Dr. James Taylor of Utah State University, Dr. Jodi Washington of Broward County Florida Public schools, and Scott Molander, a managing partner at SKINS Compression, an international sportswear company.
The state board of higher education will interview the finalists later this month on the university’s campus.
Dickinson State University executive director Ty Orton has been acting president since last August after former president Stephen Easton announced his resignation last July.
“We’re excited to bring these talented leaders to campus for their final public interviews, knowing they each have become acquainted with DSU and the people that make our institution unique,” Orton said.
University leaders anticipate the new president will take over the role in July.
