
FARGO (KFGO) – Snow and blowing snow will likely cause travel problems Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon in much of North Dakota and northern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 3 p.m. Thursday.
In the Fargo-Moorhead area, snow Wednesday afternoon and evening will taper to flurries after midnight. After that, west wind around 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph will cause patchy blowing and drifting snow overnight. This will cause reduced visibility and difficult travel, especially in the open country.
Total snow accumulation through Thursday morning is expected to be 2 to 4 inches.
Thursday, 25 to 35 mph wind through midday will lead to blowing and drifting snow and continued travel difficulties.
