OTTERTAIL, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) — A Fergus Falls business owner is dead after a head-on crash near Ottertail on Friday afternoon.
The State Patrol says 27-year-old McKayla Schicker was killed when her SUV crashed into a boom truck on Highway 78. Schicker was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the boom truck, 23-year-old Henry Gibbs of Battle Lake suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Schicker was a single mother who owned Bev’s Donuts in Battle Lake and had just purchased Bev’s Bakehouse in Wadena.
