CALUMET, Minn. (KFGO) – Two people are injured and three arrested after a shooting in Itasca County early this morning.
Deputies say the shooting happened in Calumet between Grand Rapids and Nashwauk. Two individuals sustained gunshot wounds in the incident. One victim is being treated at Grand Rapids Hospital, and the other is being treated at a Duluth hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Three suspects have been taken into custody, and the firearm believed to have been used in the incident has been recovered by the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains active, with the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office receiving assistance from the MN BCA, Coleraine PD, Grand Rapids PD, Nashwauk PD, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
