Man taken to hospital after mental health issue outside Islamic Center in Moorhead

MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead Police say a man who was suffering a mental health crisis was taken to a Fargo hospital after he tried to break into the Moorhead Fargo Islamic Center on 12th Ave. South late Wednesday night.

Police say officers tried to deescalate the situation and the man was eventually detained at around midnight.

Police say they’re continuing to investigate and are in communication with members of the Islamic Center.
