Fargo restaurant heavily damaged in late night fire; Cause under investigation

FARGO (KFGO) – Fire caused heavy damage to Mango’s Mexican and American Grill at 2901 Main Avenue in Fargo. It was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fire Department Battalion Chief Lee Soeth says the first crews on the scene reported heavy fire and smoke from the building’s roof. Inside, firefighters found intense heat, dense smoke, and flames in the kitchen area.

Firefighters had much of the fire out in about 15 minutes but crews were on the scene for several hours dealing with hot spots.

There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation.
