FARGO, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) — Murder charges have been filed against a Fargo man after he told officers that he killed his girlfriend and put her body in the closet.
61-year-old Randall Duffy is charged with murder and domestic violence.
Court records show Duffy called police just before noon Saturday and asked them to send someone to his apartment in the 3100 block of 33rd Street South.
He let officers look in the closet and that’s where they found the body of 59-year-old Jody Campbell.
Duffy says he and Campbell got into a fight the night before when Campbell accused him of stealing her meth pipe. Campbell told police he got mad and “choked her out too long”.
His first court appearance on the charges is Tuesday morning.
