ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota House passed a new tax budget bill Friday. The bill builds off of last year’s historic tax bill which included the largest tax cut in state history.
“The Taxes Committee worked this year to craft a Tax Bill which is receptive to the needs of Minnesotans while building off of our groundbreaking work from last session,” Representative Aisha Gomez Chair of the House Taxes Committee said. “We have a very strong bill here which will make Minnesota a better and more equitable state.”
The bill expands Minnesota’s Child Tax Credit to 18–year-olds and reforms some aspects of the Minnesota tax code.
