JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – One man is in jail after a high-speed chase that lasted over 20 miles and ended in Jamestown Tuesday afternoon.
Just before noon, a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper tried to stop 27-year-old Chance Standridge, from Mandan, for speeding on I-94 just west of the Stutsman-Barnes County line. Standridge continued until the Bloom exit, and headed towards Jamestown at a high rate of speed.
Troopers stopped chasing Standridge as he approached town. Once in Jamestown, Standridge crashed into a car at the intersection of 3rd Street and 12th Avenue Southeast. Jamestown Police officers found Standridge in the 1500 Block of 4th Avenue Northwest and arrested him.
Standridge was arrested for fleeing, reckless endangerment, hit-and-run, driving under suspension, carrying a concealed gun, and drug warrants.
