FARGO (KFGO) – Noisy vehicles remain an “earsore” in Fargo and the city commission wants to create an ordinance to tackle the issue.
City Commissioner Arlette Preston says she has heard complaints from many people over the years about the noise that comes from certain vehicles and motorcycles. She says more complaints are now coming in this spring. She wants to research what will be required to deal with noisy vehicles.
Police Chief Dave Zibolski explained the problem now is no city ordinance deals with the noisy vehicle problem. City commissioners unanimously voted to ask the police chief and the city attorney to look into a solution, including how the city can enforce the drag racing ordinance now in place, another big problem.
The city commission will take up the matter at the next meeting.
