FARGO (KFGO) – There was a brief scare in downtown Fargo at 4:19 a.m. Monday. Red River Regional Dispatch received a call from a person walking on Main Avenue who reported a man told him that a man had thrown his daughter off the Main Avenue bridge into the Red River.
Police, firefighters, and ambulance. responded. Police Sgt. Sam Bollman says they were not sure if it was a mental health issue, a drug, or if it was real, “thinking it was the worst.”
Police were able to contact the child’s mother who was out-of-state and were relieved to find out the child was with her and safe.
Authorities are working to confirm the reason the man caused the scare.
