FARGO (KFGO News) – The North Dakota Department of Health says that a case of Whooping Cough, or pertussis, has been confirmed in a theater group at Davies High School in Fargo.
The health department sent out an email to parents Wednesday, saying that the disease was confirmed in a student.
Symptoms include coughing fits, prolonged coughing, and coughing to the point of vomiting.
The health department says to watch for symptoms after exposure for up to 2 weeks.
Pertussis is considered preventable with vaccines.
