CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota State Patrol says a Pelican Rapids man was killed in a crash in Chippewa County on Tuesday.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. A semi and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 4 north of Maynard.
59-year-old Timmy Tarnowski of Pelican Rapids was eastbound on the highway. 32-year-old Georgil Gabiev, of Brooklyn, New York was northbound on the county road when the collision happened. Tarnowski died in the crash. It’s unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
The pickup driver was taken to the Willmar Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
