Dan Glickman, who served as the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture for more than five years and as a Congressman from Wichita, Kansas for 18 years, was just unanimously elected chair the board of directors of Hunger Free America, a national 501c3 direct service and advocacy nonprofit group. Glickman also previously worked as Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and is author of the recent book, Laughing at Myself: My Education in Congress, on the Farm, and at the Movies.
Hunger Free America is a nonpartisan nonprofit group working in all 50 states to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger. Glickman has served on its board since 2020. According to USDA, 44.1 million Americans, including 13.9 million children, lived in food insecure homes, unable to afford enough food, in 2022.
