EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. – East Grand Forks Council President Mark Olstad says he plans to run for mayor. Olstad’s announcement comes just days after current officer holder Steve Gander announced a legislative bid for the House District 1B seat.
Olstad says his goal if elected is to continue to represent the citizens of East Grand Forks and listen to their concerns and issues.
He has worked as an in-house appraiser for Choice Bank for 20 years. He was elected to the city council in 2012.
Olstad also served 12 years in the Army National Guard.
