GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – An 81-year-old man involved in a rear-end crash on I-29 south of Grand Forks on Thursday has died.
The Highway Patrol said, for an unknown reason, James Kemp of Devils Lake was driving his SUV slow in the southbound, left lane two miles south of Grand Forks when his vehicle was rear-ended by an SUV driven by a 54-year-old Thompson man. The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Both men were taken to the hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries. Kemp was not wearing a seatbelt. He died Friday.
The crash remains under investigation.
