The Midwest needs Jon Tester. His common-sense values and beliefs are exactly what this country needs, and is our last hope for bipartisan support in Washington, D.C.
Senator Tester is up for re-election next year. Many of us thought he was going to retire from public service, but that’s not the case. He decided to throw his hat in the ring another time, and it’s exactly what this country needs from him. We should all respect the fact he’s still willing to take those slings and arrows headed his way, coming at him from all sides.
Montana Senator, Jon Tester, is good at his job. The best example I can give to show that is a piece of legislation he’s currently advancing. Right now, you can’t fix the current electronics in your farm equipment. When something goes wrong, you have no choice but to go back to the brand dealer and have it repaired. Whatever they decide to charge, you’ll have to pay.
John Deere, Case IH, and Challenger all hate Tester’s bill. And why wouldn’t they? They currently have a monopoly that puts you right over their barrel. But with Tester’s legislation, that could all change. Those manufacturers would have to provide the programming that you paid for in the first place. Programming that would allow you or a local business to fix the problem for way less.
That’s the type of Senator we deserve. A man willing to take on the big three manufacturers and look out for you. That puts him miles ahead of other Senators in the Midwest, but it also puts him alone.
Maybe it’s time to ask why.
Good riding with you,
Joel
