The FM RedHawks exploded in the top of the ninth inning after taking the lead in the eighth to defeat Milwaukee 8-2 in what was a pitchers dual up until the final two frames. Ben Livorsi blasted a home run in the eight to give FM a 3-2 lead; while Connor Maguire picked up his first professional career win getting out of a jam after a lead-off walk in the bottom of the eight to keep the RedHawks lead going into the ninth. The top of the final frame gave FM plenty of insurance runs as Manny Boscan drove in Evan Alexander and Sam Dexter to make the score 5-2. Leo Pina gave the RedHawks even more breathing room as Leo Pina hit a three run homer to extend the lead to 8-2. Kevin McGovern did not fair in the decision for FM but had a strong outing going 6 1/3 innings and only giving up three hits. The RedHawks will go for the sweep of the Milkmen on Sunday with a 12:40pm pregame show on 740 the Fan.
