WEST FARGO (KFGO) – Firefighters were able to save seven of eight dogs when fire damaged a mobile home Friday afternoon.
According to the West Fargo Fire Department, crews were dispatched to 1003 Brookwood Lane around 4 p.m. for a structure fire. When they arrived, a small fire was burning with heavy smoke coming from the roof of a mobile home.
Crews contained the fire within minutes and began removing dogs from the home.
One dog died in the fire. The other seven dogs and the resident will be displaced.
The Department said the property sustained significant smoke damage, but fire damage was minimal. The cause is under investigation and the cost of the damage is yet to be determined.
No fire personnel or residents were hurt in the fire.
