Alex Becker
ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Paul police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Alex Becker.
It happened when Becker was walking home from work late on the evening of December 27.
According to a criminal complaint, Becker had been shot multiple times, in an alley. Surveillance video from businesses showed three men approach and then shoot Becker before they got into a stolen car and took off.
Police located the stolen car and used cell phone information to connect the car to Arteze Kinerd, and officers found him and arrested Kinerd in a gas station on Tuesday night. They also say a search warrant turned up clothing at Kinerd’s residence that matched surveillance photos of suspects.
Kinerd, 20, has been arrested for suspicion of murder. He’s in the Ramsey County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
