FARGO (KFGO) – The iconic California alt-rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced today it will make the Fargodome the third stop on its 2023 global tour.
The show, which will include The Strokes and King Princess as opening acts, will be April 6. Fargodome representatives say they believe it will be Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first-ever concert in North Dakota.
Red Hot Chili Peppers was formed by lead singer Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea in 1983. All four of the band’s current members were with the group when it recorded Mother’s Milk in 1989 and for the band’s first major release, Blood Sugar Sex Magik in 1991. The band is nominated for a 2023 Grammy for Best Rock Song for “Black Summer,” off the 2022 album Unlimited Love.
Tickets go on sale Friday, December 9 at 10am at redhotchilipeppers.com.
