WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – Williston Police are still actively searching for Leonard Barton Higdon Jr., who is accused of fleeing what authorities last week called a domestic violence incident, and leading multiple agencies on a vehicle pursuit before escaping on foot north of Williston. He now has active warrants on five felony charges stemming from the incident, including attempted murder.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance with any information on the location of Higdon, but warning that he is considered armed and dangerous and not to approach him but rather to contact law enforcement immediately.
After an extensive investigation into the incident which took place in the early morning hours of September 29, the Williams County State’s Attorney has charged Higdon with attempted murder, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, fleeing police, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
