Edna Carlblom, 98, of Lisbon, North Dakota passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at
CHI Hospital in Lisbon.
Edna Magdalena Frigen was born on March 8, 1924 to Andreas and Margaret Frigen. She was baptized,
confirmed and attended school in Monango, North Dakota. As a young girl she and her family moved to
a farm north of Gwinner, North Dakota.
Edna married Lloyd Carlblom on December 16, 1945. They farmed north of Gwinner for many years and
moved to Lisbon in 1995. Edna was known for her sewing, cooking, handywork, and love for playing
cards.
Edna is survived by her three children John Carlblom of Lisbon, Connie Ness (Terry Krabbenhoft) of West
Fargo, and Carol Weiner (Gareth) of Denver, Colorado. Six grandchildren, Jonathan (Mandy), Adam
(Breanna), Landon (Toni), Alex (Kylee Jo), Logan, and Rachel (Alec), along with six great grandchildren,
two nephews, and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her parents, three brothers (Edwin, Joseph, and
Harold Frigen), one sister (Nettie Krentz), and daughter-in-law (Patricia Carlblom).
Visitation and prayer service will be held on Thursday, September 15 th from 5:30p-7p. The funeral will be
Friday, September 16 th at 11am. Both services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon and the
burial will be at White Stone Hill Cemetery near Gwinner.
