Red River Women’s Clinic to move to Moorhead in light of US Supreme Court abortion ruling

FARGO (KFGO) – The owner and clinic director of the Red River Women’s Clinic in Fargo says she will relocate to Moorhead where abortion will remain legal.

The statement from Tammy Kromenaker came as the US Supreme Court released its decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 ruling that legalized abortion.

North Dakota has a trigger law, passed in 2007, that would outlaw abortion in the state within the next 30 days. South Dakota has a similar law. Abortion will still be permitted in Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.

Planned Parenthood has a clinic in Moorhead, but it does not provide abortions at that location.
