DOUGLAS, N.D. (KFGO) – A man was killed and two 12-year-old girls were hurt Friday morning in an end-over-end rollover in northern North Dakota.
The state patrol says the 42-year-old driver of an SUV, from Ryder, was partially ejected and died at the scene about 5 miles west of Douglas in Ward County.
The two passengers suffered serious injuries. One of the girls was taken by ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Minot while the other girl was flown from the scene by medical helicopter.
The driver encountered a slow-moving row crop sprayer and drove into the ditch as he approached the sprayer. The patrol says the three had left the school in Max and were headed to a home near Ryder.
