GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – With worldwide attention on North Dakota and the advancements the state is making with Unmanned Aerial Systems, having the state lead the way in developing sustainability for the industry is a natural move.
Trevor Woods is Executive Director of the Northern Plains UAS Test Site.
“There’s an opportunity for Northrup-Grumman to repurpose Global Hawks that were being used by the Air Force. They can be valuable for other purposes now that they are being retired,” said Woods.
Wood adds Northrup-Grumman is just one of the clients housed at the Grand Sky U-A-S Aviation Park and that unmanned aircraft has created a new ecosystem and he’s excited to see where it goes.
