Every year, at the end of January, KFGO (and our sister stations) dedicate our broadcasts to raising money for the Sanford Children’s Hospital. We do this because we believe in the programs that are funded through the donations listeners generously provide.
Every dollar stays local and goes directly to the programs. Not to fancy lunches or overhead – directly to the program like the one I am mentioning below.
A Heartbeat Song.
During an unthinkable time for a parent, when they find out that their child is dying, Sanford Children’s Hospital provides a service where they record the heartbeat of a child and put it into a lullaby for the parents to keep. A lasting memory of a child lost. This is an example of one such lullaby.
Be a part of the Sanford Children’s Hospital and their story. Be the hope for families across the region. Let the kids be a kid. The Cares for Kids Radiothon is going on now. Please give what you can.
