ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and other groups are planning a State Capitol event on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
The official “9/11 Day of Remembrance” will be in-person this year. The gathering will memorialize the events of that day and honor those impacted by 9/11. The more than 40-thousand Minnesota veterans who served in the Global War on Terrorism will also be honored.
There will be a commemorative ceremony, aircraft flyovers, and a speech by Mariah Jacobson, the daughter of Flight 93 hero Tom Burnett from Bloomington. n
