MOORHEAD, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) — Minnesota State University Moorhead head women’s swimming and diving coach Charlie King has announced the signing of 10 recruits for 2021-22.
“We are very excited to welcome our new incoming class,” King said. “They bring a lot of depth and diversity from all over. We truly enjoyed getting to know and connecting with each of the incoming first years and feel they will fit in great. Something that stands out with this class is their overall desire for academic success and to compete at the highest level.”
Here is a look at the newest Dragon swim and dive signees:
Demi-Lee Carlisle (5-10, IM/Free/Back, Johannesburg, South Africa/Blommenstein St. Krugersdorp)
Won the 50 free four times and the 50 back three times at Provincial A meet…team captain…named Secondary Sports Woman of the year…part of South African team to compete in Italy…competed for Florida Swimming Club since 2010.
Linnea Edgren (5-9, Breaststroke, Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasium)
Qualified and participated in national swimming event…both individually and in relays…also swam finals at youth nationals…competed in Euro meet swimming competition in Luxembourg.
Isabelle Hanson (5-8, Backstroke, Bellevue, Neb./Bellevue West HS)
Broke school record in 100 backstroke…part of 200 medley relay that set school record…part of state team each year…three-year letterwinner.
Danielle Heckaman (5-0, Distance Free, Moorhead, Minn./Park Christian HS)
Five-time state qualifier in for Fargo Shanley HS team…placed sixth in 500 free in 2019…placed 7th in 500 free in 2017 and 2018…team captain…MVP as a junior…four-year letterwinner…swam for Northern Lights Swim Association.
Lily Lengerich (5-5, Free, Salida, Colo./Salida HS)
All-state first-team selection in 2019-20…part of state championship 200 freestyle relay…all-league and all-conference honoree…swam for Salida Cyclone Swim Team..four-year letter winner.
Molly Lenmark (5-4, Free/Fly, Superior, Wis./Superior HS)
Five-time conference champion…two-time all-conference selection…four-year letterwinner…also swam for Superior Whalers for seven years.
Regan Minh (5-2, Sprints, Bismarck, N.D./Legacy HS)
Competed in 50 free and 100 fly in high school…state qualifier…team captain…four-year letterwinner…swam for Aquastorm in Bismarck for 11 years.
Julia Solberg (5-2, Freestyle, Ramsey, Minn./Anoka HS)
State qualifier in 500 free and as part of two relays…All-Conference…part of two school record relay teams …team captain…named Most Valuable Teammate in 2020…swam for Great Wolf Swim Team for nine years.
Kaylie Stucke (5-6, Distance, Marshall, Minn./Marshall HS)
Conference champion in the 200 and 500 free…named Hardest Worker three years in a row…named Rookie of Year…state qualifier as part of Southwest Swim Club…six-year letterwinner in swimming.
Maggie Sullivan (5-4, Free/Back, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS)
Part of Eden Prairie HS team that finished third in state in 2018 and 2019…varsity letterwinner and Most Improved…swam for Foxjets Swim Club.
