GRAND FORKS, ND (KNOX)- With COVID-19 impacting more students and staff the Grand Forks School Board on Monday will consider a shift to distance learning.
Superintendent Terry Brenner outlined the plan in a memo Friday. The district released new data that shows 1,509 students and staff were identified as positive or close contacts between October 31st and November 13th. The 3.3% rate compares to 1.4% the previous two-week span.
Brenner says the “pivot” will create “disappointment and inconvenience.”
Remote learning would span Thanksgiving through the New Year’s holiday. The district hopes to resume face-to-face and hybrid Learning on January 4th.
