
HAWLEY, MN (KFGO) โ Moorhead police say human remains believed to be Dystynee Avery have been found at the Clay County landfill near Hawley.
Investigators began searching the landfill after Ethan Broad told police that he killed Avery in self-defense, dismembered her body and disposed of the evidence in an apartment dumpster. Broad is charged with second-degree unintentional murder.
Two other suspects, 22-year-old David Erno and 26-year-old Andrea Payne of Moorhead, are charged with accessory to murder.
The remains have been sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner in St. Paul for an examination and positive identification.
