A Royal Exit
Prince Harry & Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, took to Instagram last week and said they would be “stepping back” from their roles as senior royals and splitting their time between Britain and North America. In this podcast: Vicki Barker, a CBS News Correspondent, joins Amy & JJ to discuss.
Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth held a meeting with the family and released a statement agreeing to the period of transition.
But, Barker says, it could be Prince William who takes some of the most interest in these discussions, as this will set the precedent for how others transition out of the royal family – like his children! Harry and Meghan could just be laying a blueprint for others, like his children someday.
