High school fishing is a national trend that the members of the North Dakota Bass Federation are trying to bring to North Dakota students.
In this podcast: Denver Tergesen joins It Takes 2 to talk about their upcoming spring events!
With the momentum from last years events, their hoping to only grow from here. With the help of sponsorship and volunteers, Tergesen says this is a possibility for any student hoping to pick-up the lifelong sport of angling.
And, while Tergesen admits that ‘walleye is king’ around here, he says there is a growing interest in bass fishing.

Top 3 teams qualify for state championship
Qualifier #2
Lake Ashtabula-June 1st
Top 3 teams qualify for state championship
State Championship
Spiritwood Lake-June 2nd
Top 3 teams from each qualifier. Winning team qualifies for Student Angler National Championship on Lake Pickwick, Alabama June 18-22nd.
All tournaments this year will be keep 6 fish and weigh 3. Rules mirror the Badlands Bass Bandits and can be found on
