Millennials and ‘Gen Z’ don’t like traditional healthcare
Most would rather choose a doctor who would provide follow-up care via. email or text message.
So, what are our healthcare systems doing about it?
In this podcast:
Dr. David Newman, Sanford Endocrinologist, joins Amy Iler & Perry Miller to discuss digital care.
Dr. Newman notes the important role Sanford’s app “My Chart” is playing in the future of digital care – where you view your test results, utilize video visits and more!
He says electronic medical records have made doctors lives both easier and harder. Unfortunately, a lot of the time Doctors spend on digital care isn’t compensated, which he hopes could change in the future.
But, he says, the important thing is that digital care has made patients lives so much better.
He specifically notes the changes it’s made for patients with diabetes. Now, patients can send blood sugars from home, send messages through medical records – and they don’t have to sit by the phone!
