The Parkland school resource officer, Scot Peterson, who was on duty the day of the February 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. However, he never entered the building.
Now, after a 14-month investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, he was arrested Tuesday on 11 criminal charges related to his inaction during the massacre that killed 17 people.
He faces up to 100 years in prison.
