Larry Magid, CBS Tech Correspondent, joins IT2 to talk about Black Friday deals – and some life-saving tech.
Apple Watch = Lifesaving Medical Device
The Apple watch has been touted as a great lifesaving device. The watch has informed people of irregular heartbeats in time to save them from a potential stroke or heart attack. In addition, if the watch detects a “hard fall”, it will automatically call 9-1-1, which has also saved people’s lives.
However, Magid says, these features are not without some error. There can be false positives, and in Magid’s case, he has had his watch dial 9-1-1 because he dropped it.
And not that those downfalls are to deter you from the product, but Magid has a tip for someone looking for a similar product, without the price tag.
